App Privacy Policy
How our applications handle personal information — on Google Play, the App Store and everywhere else.
This is the policy for our applications. The privacy policy for our website and the services sold through it is separate: Website Privacy Policy.
This policy explains how DAOUDY SOLUTION LLC handles personal information in the mobile, tablet, television and desktop applications we publish on Google Play, the Apple App Store and other application stores. It applies to all of our applications.
Each application also publishes a Data safety section on its store listing, which states exactly what that particular application collects, shares and why. Where this policy describes something in general terms, that store listing is the authoritative statement for that application.
1. Information you give us
- Account details — where an application offers you an account, we process the email address and password you register with. Applications that work without an account do not ask for this.
- Content and settings you add — for example a playlist address, a favourites list, a language or a parental-control setting. Where an application can keep this on your own device, it does; see section 4.
- Support correspondence — if you write to us, we keep your message and our reply so we can follow up.
2. Information collected automatically
Where an application includes crash reporting or usage analytics, the following may be collected. Applications that include neither collect none of it.
- Device model, operating system version and application version.
- Crash diagnostics: the state of the application at the moment it stopped working.
- Non-identifying usage events, such as which screens are opened, used to decide what to improve.
- A resettable advertising or installation identifier, where the application uses one.
Our applications do not collect your precise location, contacts, photographs, text messages or call history. Where an application needs a device permission to work — network access to stream, storage access to save a file — it asks you at the moment it needs it and explains why. You can refuse, and you can withdraw the permission later in your device settings.
3. Why we process it
- To provide the features you asked the application to perform.
- To diagnose and fix crashes and defects.
- To answer your support requests.
- To detect fraud and abuse, and to comply with our legal obligations.
We do not use your personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal effects concerning you.
4. What stays on your device
Wherever an application can work without sending your data to us, it does. Playlists, preferences, favourites and parental-control settings are stored locally on your device unless the application explicitly offers to synchronise them across your devices. Data held locally is removed when you uninstall the application or clear its storage, and it never reaches us.
5. Services we rely on
Where an application uses them, these third parties process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies:
- Google Play services — distribution, licensing and, where included, crash reporting and analytics.
- Apple App Store services — distribution and, where included, crash reporting.
- Advertising networks — only in applications whose store listing declares that they show advertisements. Applications that carry no advertising send nothing to an advertising network.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
6. Children
Our applications are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, write to contact@daoudysolution.com and we will delete it.
7. Content you access through our applications
Some of our applications are players: they display media from an address that you supply. We do not host, provide, select or control that content, and we have no relationship with its provider. What you choose to open, and your right to open it, are your responsibility.
8. How long we keep it
- Account data — for as long as your account exists, then deleted as described in section 9.
- Crash and usage data — up to 14 months, then deleted or aggregated so that it no longer identifies anyone.
- Support correspondence — up to 24 months.
- Records we are legally required to keep — such as transaction records, for the period the law requires.
9. Your rights, and deleting your account
You may ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You may also object to processing or ask us to restrict it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the CCPA.
To delete your account and the data attached to it, use our account deletion page. It is open to everyone, requires no login, and explains exactly what is removed and what we must keep.
10. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. Data in transit is encrypted. No system is completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
11. International transfers
We are a company registered in the United States and we work with clients and service providers worldwide, so your information may be processed outside your own country. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards permitted by applicable data-protection law.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date shown below and, where the change is significant, we will say so in the application or its store listing. Continuing to use an application after a change means you accept the updated policy.
